Food Policy

Food Movement:101

My love of food stretches beyond the vast and beautiful shelves of the cookbook section at my local bookstore into the real heart of the matter–food policy and food politics. My chosen few listed below represent the food policy advocates that I believe in. Their readings and contributions to the organic and profood movement leave me deeply inspired. I have great admiration for these trailblazers. Thank you for changing my world.

I am a huge fan of Wendell Berry (The Unsettling of America is my favorite book of all time), as well as Michael Pollan and Joel Salatin. Thanks for the list of food policy Tweeps to follow. Fast Food Nation and Diet for a Small Planet are both on my list to read, but I haven’t gotten around to them yet.

Love this stuff! I’ve been involved with a group that started a great downtown farmer’s market last summer. Really excited about the upcoming season.
